Sauga’s Summer Song Contest

Mississauga Musicians: submit your demo of your hit summer song for a recording date at Metalworks Studios!

“Have you got a hit song in you? Doesn’t the summer inspire great songs? Let’s find out with a free recording session at Metalworks Studios awarded to the winner of this year’s Sauga’s Summer Song Contest!” So urges Mike Douglas, Mississauga Arts Council’s Executive Director, “Our two previous winners took full advantage of winning this contest. Now let’s see what our music community can do next!”

Established in 2021, this contest has been a launch pad for the past two recipients, Adina V, with her winning song, “Admit It”, and David Leask with his winning song, “Feet In Your Shoes”. Since winning this contest, both of their careers have grown to new heights. Learn more about Adina V here and listen to her winning song here. Learn more about David Leask here and listen to his winning song here.

This contest is open to any professional musician or music group living in Mississauga and working in Pop, Hip Hop, Country, Rock and R&B.

Metalworks Studios has been voted Canada’s Most Outstanding Recording Studio for 17 years in a row!

“Metalworks is always looking for ways to support the development of local talents in Mississauga and this contest with MAC is a perfect vehicle for bringing to light great songs and introducing more great performers,” offers Gil Moore, Founder and CEO of Metalworks Studios. “This exciting contest is a songwriter’s dream come true.”
